GST Registration for proprietorship
Service Description
To register your proprietorship business the required documents for GST registration are mentioned as follows:
- Phone number & Email Address
- ID Proof & Address Proof
- Address Proof of Business
- Passport Size Photo
1. Phone number & Email Address
A working phone number where you can receive OTP & can verify your registration every time you log in. You will also receive all the details related to your GST registration on this number. A working Email ID is also required so that you can verify yourself with OTP verification. All communication regarding GST Registration will be done through this email ID.
2. ID Proof & Address Proof are required Documents for GST Registration
The ID & Address proof of the proprietor or the owner of the business. Which includes Photo ID proof which can be any one of the mentioned,
- PAN card,
- Voter ID card,
- Aadhaar card,
- Valid Driving License,
- Valid Passport,
- Ration card with a photo,
- Government bank Passbook with a photo,
or any other valid document provided by the Government where the photo of the person is clearly visible. Whereas Address proof includes any of the mentioned documents like an
- Aadhaar card,
- Ration Card,
- government bank Passbook,
- Voter ID card,
- Valid Driving License,
- Valid Passport,
- Electricity bill,
- Water Bill,
- LPG Gas Connection documents
or any other document issued by the government where the address is mentioned. Please note there should be two different documents which specify as Photo ID proof & Address Proof. The details mentioned in both documents should be the same. The PAN card is a mandatory document that needs to be provided & can act as Photo Identity proof.
3. Address Proof of the business is required Documents for GST Registration
One address proof on which the business entity is registered will be required to submit- that can be any one of the following
- Electricity Bill
- Rent Agreement
- Water Bill
- MCD Bill
- Lease Agreement
- Telephone/Lease Line Bill
- Broadband Bill
or any other document issued by the government where the address & the entity name is mentioned.
4. Passport Size Photo of the Owner
Last but not least 1 passport-size photo of the owner is also a mandatory document item that needs to be shared which is used to upload in the GST portal for verification purposes with the documents provided. These will be the documents required for GST Registration for Proprietorship
